Easy Facial Massage for Sinus Relief - Works for adults and babies

If you’re a fellow sinus girlie, you know the struggle of a blocked nose. Whether it’s allergies, a cold, or just random congestion, not being able to breathe properly is the worst. While I usually rely on Zyrtec, there are times when I either forget or just want a quick, natural fix.

That’s when I do this simple facial massage that helps drain my sinuses instantly. It’s super easy, takes less than a minute, and best of all—no meds needed!

How to Do It:

👉 Repeat each step a few times (about 5–10 times) for the best results. Don’t just do it once and expect magic—this works by encouraging drainage, so consistency is key!

1️⃣ Start at the sides of your nose

  • Use firm but gentle pressure and massage in small circles.

  • Then, glide your fingers outward along your cheekbones toward your ears.

  • This helps move fluid and relieve pressure.

2️⃣ Under your chin & jawline

  • Start at the middle of your chin and massage outwards along your jaw.

  • Move towards your ears and then down your neck.

  • This encourages lymphatic drainage and helps clear congestion.

3️⃣ Between your brows & temples

  • Massage the space between your eyebrows, then glide your fingers out toward your temples.

  • Move your hands down to your ears and along your neck.

  • This helps fluid drain properly and relieves tension.

4️⃣ Tilt your head back & breathe deeply

  • This helps open up your airways and encourages mucus to flow naturally.

5️⃣ The tongue trick

  • Press your tongue to the roof of your mouth, towards the back of your throat.

  • It sounds weird, but it creates a pressure shift that can help clear things up.

6️⃣ Finish with a downward motion

  • Massage from your ears down your neck, then gently rub the area just under your collarbones.

  • This helps clear everything out for full relief.

Why This Works:

✔️ Encourages fluid drainage & clears congestion

✔️ Relieves sinus pressure naturally

✔️ Quick, easy, and med-free

I do this on myself and my babies when they have blocked noses, so I don’t always have to rely on medicated decongestants. If you’re doing this on little ones, be extra gentle and use a bit of cream to avoid tugging on their delicate skin.

It’s not a magic cure, but if you repeat it a few times, you’ll feel the difference. Try it out and let me know if it works for you!
